About the Activity
In the heart of the Sacred Valley of the Incas lie two extraordinary sites that exemplify remarkable engineering and tradition: Maras and Moray. Maras, renowned for its ancient salt mines, presents a captivating landscape filled with thousands of salt ponds that have been operational since pre-Inca times. These salt mines, fed by an underground spring, continue to produce salt through artisanal methods, preserving an ancestral practice handed down through generations.
Moray, on the other hand, is a series of circular terraces that are believed to have served as an agricultural laboratory for the Incas. These terraces, arranged in concentric levels, allowed for the observation of microclimatic variations, enabling the Incas to experiment with and optimize crop production.
Both sites, with their distinctive landscapes and rich histories, offer a glimpse into the ingenuity and creativity of the Inca civilization. They highlight the Incas' ability to harmonize with the natural environment and make the most of its resources. Maras and Moray stand as a testament to the cultural heritage of the Andes and continue to fascinate visitors from around the world.

We can arrange a meeting point in the city center (historical center), or we can provide a transport for an additional cost.
You can purchase entrance tickets as a complement when booking this activity or buy them the same day of the excursion at the checkpoint, if so, we suggest you bring cash.
The Tourist Ticket (BTC) is a mandatory ticket for all visitors and allows access to 16 different attractions in the city of Cusco and surroundings (museums, theaters, archaeological sites, etc.).

CIRCUIT 2: Valid for 2 days. This ticket allows you to visit the following attractions:
- Regional Historical Museum
- Museum of Contemporary Art
- Museum of Popular Art
- Qorikancha Site Museum
- Qosqo Native Art Center
- Pachacutec Inca Monument
CIRCUIT 3: Valid for 2 days. This ticket allows you to visit the following attractions:
- Pisac
- Ollantaytambo

The entrance ticket to the salt mines of Maras is NOT included in the Tourist Ticket “BTC” because this attraction is not under the jurisdiction of the local community.

- Will be accepted up to 24 hours before the day of the activity.
► CANCELLATIONS AND REFUNDS
- Cancellations requested 24 hours prior to the day of the activity receive a full refund.
- Cancellations requested within 24 hours prior to the day of the activity are non-refundable.
- Cancellations requested for any reason, beyond the responsibility of the company or the client (strikes, social conflicts, natural disasters, etc.) are refundable, however, the amount to be refunded will be subject to evaluation.
